Maite Rodríguez Márquez, Ph.D. is a Puerto Rican educator, writer, and researcher with a doctorate in Educational Leadership. Her professional journey began in fields related to law and justice, but over time, education became one of the central pillars of both her life and her work. Since then, much of her professional focus has been devoted to understanding how family, language, and personal experiences shape the ways people learn, grow, and find their place in the world.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico as a native Spanish speaker, she has a particular interest in bilingual education, diverse learning needs, and the development of resources that help families and educators feel better informed, prepared, and supported.

Autism is also part of her personal experience and has deeply influenced the way she understands learning. That experience has inspired her to develop practical strategies and tools designed to simplify processes, support families, and respond to different ways of learning. From that vision, Bridge of Learning LLC was created.

At the heart of Bridge of Learning is a simple idea: learning becomes more meaningful when knowledge is connected to real life.

​

In addition to her work in education and research, Maite sees creative writing as another way to explore the human experience. Puerto Rican culture holds an essential place in her work, where themes of migration, identity, family, faith, love, belonging, resilience, and second chances emerge naturally.

Whether she is creating an educational resource, supporting a researcher, working alongside a family, or writing a novel, her purpose remains the same: to create work that is thoughtful, useful, and deeply human.
